The Road to Intimacy

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well !

I am and some much happened over the course of 5 days. But let me tell you first that God is FAITHFUL ! He is incredibly faithful and he is good! Last week I went to a women's retreat, not really expecting much , I mean I was excited to be around real women of God who are on fire for him and it was free. So I thought that's amazing I have to go. But God definitely met me there in ways I would have never expected ! I went there on Thursday with only the ticket for my way to the retreat and not back. And I even had to borrow the money from someone to get there. But I kinda knew God wanted me to be there on that particular day. So I prayed saying ' Lord if you're bringing there you'll provide my train ticket back and everything else I need '

So He DID, he provided more than I needed!  Women at the retreat suddenly came and gave me money saying that God told them to sow into me. Even my lunch got paid for the next day. So I had money for the train ride back and I had eaten for lunch but the Lord wasn't finished with me yet. A sister I met through Pinky Promise, who also invited me to the retreat came to me and asked if I want to spend the rest of the weekend with her and her family and I said yes. Normally I would say no or be really scared but I had peace and just said yes. So I got to spend time with my new awesome sister in Christ  and her family ! I got to go out and eat awesome food (again the Lord provided) ,  have slumber parties and just kinda enjoy myself.  I'm not saying that to boast because actually I don't deserve all that but God gave it to me not because of what I've done or said but simply because he values me and I'm his child. And that's what I needed to learn, that God is my provider, he's the one who lovingly takes care of me because he values me ! He gave me the name Priscilla which means 'eternal value' and I didn't know that until that weekend where I received a card with my name and its meaning on it. 

Jesus showed me so many things about me I didn't know and things I did know but ignored. I had so much baggage I was carrying with me, hidden sins that hindered me from truly stepping into that life of freedom, love, peace and joy in Jesus. 
Deep down I had distrust towards God and it all resulted into fear, anger, resentment, unforgiveness, jealousy and bitterness . God brought me to this place so that he could finally have me all by himself without distractions coming my way. 
It reminds me of Hosea 2 where the Lord brought his bride Israel into the wilderness where no one could take her away from him, all her lovers(sins, pleasures) she was running after he removed them just to have her back.

 14 Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her. 15 There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achora a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.
Hosea 2:14 -15 (NIV)

God truly wants us, he wants our hearts,  pure , free and empty so that he can fill them with his unfailing love. 
At one of the slumber parties we had we were watching Princess Diaries 2 and there was a scene where Princess Mia and her Prince escaped together by night to spend time together,  they danced , talked about each other's secrets and heart desires and laid in each others arms and the intimacy that was portrayed there brought me to tears because I realized that's the intimacy I want to have with my King Jesus and can have. 
We are God's Queens and brides , we belong to him. And all he wants is to be intimate with us, to know us for who we are and to be known by us . But we have to let go of everything that we may not want to let go off, everything that hinders us. Past wounds won't stop Jesus from chasing you down, in fact he won't be still until you're totally his, he won't relent.  Our God faithful ! He will help us to walk this road with him,  He is good and kind. And he loves us more than we know !

For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.
Psalm 45:11 (NLT)


I hope this encourages someone to come into deeper intimacy with Jesus !

My testimony

Hello guys I hope you're having a great day !

I'm here to share my testimony with you guys !

So two years ago my family broke apart due to various reasons. One was my Dad cheated on my mum and had an affair for several years and in this time so many things happened my mum got abused plus she started to get spiritual attacks ( for those who don't know I'm African and it's very common in our culture) plus she lost her mum.

 In this period of time I was in my own mess and very broken inside. In addition to that we, me, my mum and my two younger siblings left our home and came to a women's refuge. We stayed there for half a year. But before that, my mum in her distress met a pastors wife in the middle of the streets (yes in the middle of the streets !) and she invited my mum to her house. Mind me ,we weren't really Christians we went to church maybe on easter but that's all.

  So there she learned about Jesus and got saved and soon after that she invited me and I said yes to Jesus. But still all our problems weren't solved . I knew that Jesus came into my life but I wasn't actively pursuing him. So a couple of months later I met a friend I was friends with before I transferred schools and she invited me to church. And since then I started to grow in the Lord and built a relationship with him. He did so many great things in my life ! He delivered me from depression and my porn-addiction , I was able to finish school and thanks to him we found an apartment for me and my family.  God is so amazing ! I went through a lot of testing and trials , God took me a through a pruning process even after I finished school and we found an apartment but in everything He was incredibly faithful! Through the highs and lows he was always there! When I wanted to give up he reassured me of his love. When I wanted to run away he wouldn't let me go. When I was tired he renewed my strength. He is so  so faithful and kind. His love for me changed me and I'm not the girl I used to be, though I'm not perfect and I still do mistakes I know he does a work in me every day. And he's is gradually restoring my family and I believe one day I'll have an even bigger testimony to share just for his glory. God is good my brothers and sisters ! No matter what we've been through or where we're at right now , he has a plan for our lives . All we have to do is to trust him and surrender our lives to him. I just wrote this to also remind myself what God has already done in my life and I believe more is about to follow.

"Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord,"
2 Timothy 1:8

"And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony,"
Revelations 12:11

Daddy ( that's how I call God haha) has been showing me some incredible and amazing these past weeks and I thought I'd just share that with you guys.

I think we don't really know how good our God actually is, that he is the perfect Father. It's so hard for us to believe that sometimes because of the experiences we had with our earthly Fathers,  at least it is for me. Jesus had to really show me that he is indeed perfect that he's actually all I need. And he's constantly continues to show me that.

But  the one thing we really don't know is that God is just a 'Good Good Father'

And as his children he delights in us.

God is ready to soar with us, he loves to see the dreams he has placed in us unfold.

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. 

                                            Psalm 37:4 (NLT)

When you're seeking his heart, to really know him he will make things plain to you. It's all a matter of the heart.

He's so in love with us, his children, his daughters and sons and he loves what we love.

There's something he has placed in us since we were little children that should unfold in it's perfect timing.

Something that will change the world around us.

But some of us have stuffed these dreams and passions deep behind due to situations , disappointment,  fear and just things that happened to that make us think they aren't valuable anymore. Maybe someone said something in the past that made you dismiss your valuable dream. Or your current situation doesn't allow you to dream. But know that God will redeem all those dreams and aspirations the enemy has stolen from us. 

I just pray that we could understand how much the Father loves each and everyone of us. That his heart beats with passion for his children. It's time to seek his heart and get to know him deeply and intimately not relying on what someone told you about him or the perception you have of him. But to earnestly pursue his heart. His love will enravish you and make you brave and courageous. 

God longs for his daughters to take his hand and say yes to his plans, to his dreams he placed in you to do something wonderful while you're on this earth something that will touch the heart of many people and lead them to him. 

The world needs to know who he is but it starts with us. He's waiting, standing with his arms wide open , inviting you into an beautiful adventure with him waiting for your yes. Like a bridegroom waits for the yes of his bride when he proposes. Aren't we his bride anyway ?

Is it going to cost you something ? Yes most definetly !

Is it going to be hard sometimes ? Yeah ask Mary or any women in the bible that followed God's call on her life.

But it's so going to be worth it.

Let him capture you with his love and beauty, then fear and self-doubt won't have any place because you're filled with his love and you know he's trustworthy. 

And sometimes we'll just need to tackle these thoughts and remind ourselves of who he is and who are in him.

Come to him , your king is waiting to partner with you for an beautiful adventure! 

Let us take his hand and soar !

The Light Behind The Clouds

This morning I watched a sermon by Cornelius Lindsey and He talked about letting God be God. 

And one of the interesting points he made is that in the midst of our trials and test we do not listen to God. We are too impatient to sit before Him and let him talk. ( I surely saw myself here .) 

Fast forward two hours later I'm spending time with the Lord on a rooftop. The weather was actually really cloudy and no sun was peeking out but as God began to speak to me , the weather started to change the sun was slowly coming out. And a few minutes later the sun was shining so brightly I couldn't look up anymore . And then a huge cloud came and covered the sun but the cloud quickly passed over. However the sun was still shining. God tried to bring something home to me through this.

In our difficulties we may not understand what is happening,  we are serving the Lord , being faithful to hand obedient to him or we are waiting on him to do something about this situation but  things are rather getting more worse than better. And then we start to question God we get frustrated even upset because things don't make sense anymore.

But who are we to question God ? A child doesn't always understand what his parent does, but the Father is still the Father and he loves his child. So God is still God despite of what we're going through. He is sovereign !

No one can tell him what to do, or say to him, 'You have done wrong.'

Job 36:23 (NLT)

He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Dtn 32:4( NIV)

God never said this walk will be easy he more so said we're  supposed to walk down the narrow path. But he promised to always be with us and to help us.

You've been in this situation for quite a time now and  you wonder when things are going to change. You're not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel.

However God says "Now men do not see the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind has passed and cleared them."

Job 37:21 (ESV)

Just because it is cloudy at the moment that doesn't mean that the sun is not shining. The sun is always shining !

Our afflictions are temporary but God's word lasts forever and the light will shine through the darkness. 

God will still the storm and he will cause those clouds to move, no matter what those may be.

In all this we have to keep our eyes on the true light , the light of the world Jesus who illuminates every darkness !

We have to walk in faith and not by sight, for it is only so that we can please him.

God wants to prune us and develop some things in us so that he can properly use us. 

So I encourage you to seek him even more in those times. Wait on him and let him glorify himself though all this. Continue to pray , worship and praise him . And also continue to do what  he has called you to do . Stay obedient to him ! We cannot afford to quit ! Quitting is not an option for us. We can do all things through him who strengthens us ! He is right there we just need to turn to him and let him speak.

Yet I am confident I will see the LORD's goodness while I am here in the land of the living.

Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him "

Hello guys I'm here to share with you what the Lord showed me today and placed on my heart to share.

So I'm sure we all heard this familiar quote: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

In good times we can resonate with that quote very well, we think " Yes , God has been really good to me! " or " I feel so blessed , God has really favoured me ! " but in bad times when we get attacked and tests and trials come our way we think " God why have you left me ? " , " Lord everything's going wrong ! Where are you ? " But pay attention guys this verse says " in all things" 

"Wait hold does that mean even when I'm in this family situation right now, or I can't pay my bills, a loved one dies or I simply can't see where I'm heading to right now in life ? "

The answer to this question is yes, yes and again yes !

The Lord showed me that in a dream to make me understand.

You see as soon your faithful to the Lord,  you serve Him and follow his will for your life you have turned away from the kingdom of darkness and turned to the kingdom of light, to the kingdom of your Heavenly Father. 

The enemy sees you now as a threat to him because before you were buying his lies and falling for them, you were accepting sin without seeing what's on the other side and that's death .

But God has opened your eyes so that you can see the schemes of the enemy your not blinded anymore ! He can't fool you so that's why he's after you.

So we as christians have to expect to get attacked by the devil and we have to pay attention as 1 Peter 5:8 says 'Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.' 

The enemy is fighting against us and searches whom to devour and if you're not prepared he can easily to take control over your life . And if you don't spend time with God and in his word , he can mess around with you as he wants ! That's why it is so important for us to spend time with God so that we can get to know him and who we are in him !

God loves to spend time with his children , he loves us so much but he won't force us to spend time with him ! 

But when we are in the battle God is faithful he will bring us through ! No matter what we're going through he will not allow us to get harmed or consumed by our struggles. He has already given us  the victory ! And let me tell you guys there's something so beautiful that happens when we stand and believe God's promises for us , we do not only grow in faith but we start to praise God for his faithfulness in difficult times ! When we praise the Lord in such seasons it moves Him ! He is the one who brings us through and makes stronger than we were before !

And when we see brothers and sisters in Christ who are weaker we can help them to get through their situation. We can encourage and lift them up in the Lord !

And at the end we shall truly see that everything works out for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose,  not only for ourselves but for those around us too.

So, hang in there ! Cling on to God ! Hold on to his promises , because he got you , he's for you and he loves you immensely !
